Vendors, Consultants, and Other Third-Party Service Providers. We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents ("third parties") who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We have contracts in place with our third parties, which are designed to help safeguard your personal information. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will also not share your personal information with any organization apart from us. They also commit to protect the data they hold on our behalf and to retain it for the period we instruct.

Who receives what
  • Hosting and database: Amazon Web Services and Supabase store your account and app data on servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Push notifications: Google Firebase (Installations and Cloud Messaging) and Apple Push Notification service. When you open the app, Firebase gives your device an installation ID so that notifications can reach it. This happens before you allow notifications. They receive that ID, a push token and the text of each alert.
  • Subscriptions: RevenueCat receives an app user ID, your purchases and your subscription status.
  • Signing in: Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.
  • AI cover letters: Google Gemini receives the details you enter for a letter (name, occupation, income, household size and move-in date) and the listing text, only when you ask for a letter. Google processes them for us and doesn't use them to improve its products.
  • Maps: Google Maps receives the map area you view and your device's IP address.
  • Ads on the free plan: Google AdMob, only after your choice on the consent screen.
  • Website: Vercel hosts hubsnap.nl. Mollie (Netherlands) handles donations.
  • Email we send you: Google Workspace sends our emails from info@hubsnap.nl, so Google receives your email address and the content of each email.

Transfers outside the EEA. Our contract for Google Workspace and the Gemini API is with Google Cloud EMEA Limited in Ireland. Google, Apple, RevenueCat and Vercel may process your data in the United States. Amazon Web Services stores your data in Frankfurt, but may handle your requests outside the EEA when you use HubSnap from outside it. Google LLC, Vercel Inc. and Amazon.com, Inc. (which covers Amazon Web Services) take part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For RevenueCat and Apple, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at info@hubsnap.nl.

We also may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • When we use Google Maps Platform APIs. We may share your information with certain Google Maps Platform APIs (e.g., Google Maps API, Places API). Google Maps uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell towers to estimate your location. GPS is accurate to about 20 meters, while Wi-Fi and cell towers help improve accuracy when GPS signals are weak, like indoors. This data helps Google Maps provide directions, but it is not always perfectly precise.
